Bleuprints.


Heres the blueprints. I'll have these done for monday to begin modelling my character. Theres a line version and shaded, i like the shaded version because it'll help me with the shape ect. I also thought more into how her armour should be.

More of the head!


I worked on the head yesterday so it needs some reviewing when i get back to college Monday just to see it's on the right tracks or how it could be improved. (Critism is always great :D) I'm just about to start her body up. I'm going to use real human reference for her body i think and then grab some of my research on armour and start piecing together what would look right on her along with using the blueprints i made a while back for some reference more than building off them. If i built off the blueprints i drew i don't think it would look as realistic as i could get it with a photograph. I'm debating on optimising the head a little too. It's around 1400 polys which isn't 'too' bad for what i'm trying to achieve however it would be nice to lower the polys on the head and there are several loops that could be removed. As you can see her cheek is a little flat, thats going to be sorted using some angled reference. Her eyelid needs fixing aswell and lips need to be worked into but i've left them at that for now. Eyelashes will be added next week and around the ears need some tweaking due to polys being lifted up a little so i just need to add some more information around the ears to tweak the shape. So this is when my character concept will be coming in as i want her to have a simmilar sort of face to the character i concepted. I think it's the eyes and mouth that maybe need a little tweaking. I'll get the head unwrapped hopefully on Monday. It's safe to say there isn't any tri's in my model too so i'm rather proud. So far i'm happy-ish with the model but i'm going to take a little break and work on the rest of the character and then start fixing the cheekbones ect.

Female Jouster



So sat down in class today and began to model my first characters head. I'm planning to do her whole body and work the armour around her just so i get the right figure and form. I will be using full references for each armour. Anyway to tired to rant cause i'm not very well :(. Heres some quick pics.

Gah! Been working on it but I have to do some writing for now :( so here is a little update of what i've been up to during my college week as well as remodelling a new boot that doesn't looked rushed and is pretty clean modelled though advice from my tutors.

I'm not sure how to add lots of images but here you go here's the textures torso too. It had some tweaks within photoshop but not much like the cloth so i will be doing those last minute as i said my priority is to stop gaming and get my character done :P.

I tried to follow Dean's concept as closley as possible.

Error = Nerd Rage!






After countless hours of being a noob as to realise my usb was ful due to a stupid texture fail in mudbox i finally managed to start getting back on track with my work. I was really frustrated due to the fact i kept getting errors and i was just loosing morale to do my work. Kinda sad really spending hours on something to get a error cause genuinly you are too noob sometimes :P Anyway here is some of the stuff i've done. I'm probably at around 65-70% completion. I've tried my best despite my old computer but the good news is that it was finally updated the otherday so i can finally work without epic lag.

Heres some pics of work so far. Btw ignore the top it looks like something of runescape i put that on my list today for doing up and making look better. The character head i did is almost done i got a bit annoyed with it but it's almost completed so thats the main thing. The only thing i'm lacking is the bloody helmet, hands and boots however i have started to model the boots and i will have them done asap.

The waist rea needs some photoshopping to blend with the legs better. The only thing genuinly bugging me as the belt at the back and the top so some tweaking will be involved at the end for those. My main priority is to try finish it. Heres a bunch of images for you guys ->
